Celebrities are often used as role models, affecting how we dress, what we eat, places we go and how we behave. What can we learn from celebrity in regards to our web sites?
I was surprised to find that many of the top celebrities did not have any kind of official website, with others leaving the task of building their official web site to sponsors.
Below you’ll find 100 of The World’s Most Powerful Celebrities as ranked by Forbes with links to their official website — if they exist.

Fantastic round up, great to see so many good looking sites.
What is more noticeable is the amount of big ‘stars’ that haven’t got one **rubbing hands together** lol
@Leigh: Thanks, and there are certainly a few in there that I’d love to have hand in building sites for!
Some of the “missing” on the list would seem to have other official sites, I suppose? Jay Leno’s ‘official’ site would be the Tonight Show page on NBC, wouldn’t it?
But I suppose he does tour…so it is surprising that he doesn’t have something a little more formal.
Good list.
@Marc: Yeah it was hard to decide on a few if the celebrity was the thing they appeared on, but taking your Jay Leno example, when he is replaced on the show the page will not be about Jay Leno anymore.
Just another reason I’m surprised that some really big celebrities don’t have their own official websites.
Very cool – thanks for putting this together. I hate that Madonna site – ugly!

Great idea for a post. I’m really surprised at how few of the A-list film actors have official websites. Perhaps there’s a stronger perceived link for fans between sport/internet and music/internet than there is for movies/internet?
@randa: i was kind of surprised the links were on the Forbes list, but now I this great post!
@tracey: I was very surprised too! I wonder if the movie studios limit what the actors can do to promote themselves rather than the movies they are working on.

well its really thrilling, nevertheless i believe the other A class celebrities should as a matter of urgency create sites of their own.
